Stereotypes about Spanish people
A (A WINS!!) B A= good R+1 knowledge, R+2 previous idea B= no good R1+ to know the truth about people´s character, R2+ don´t be prejudiced ; R1- problem if you want to know more about the culture, R2- ignorance Over the last 25 years there has been much controversy as to whether it is better to believe in stereotypes about Spanish people or to believe the contrary. Many argue that not believing in stereotypes is by far the best option, while others claim that believing in stereotypes have more pros than cons. In this essay, I will analyze the pros and cons in order to come to a conclusion. Undoubtedly, not believing in stereotypes can be a great way to know the truth about people´s character and don´t be prejudiced. It's a well known fact that not believing in stereotypes offers you the possibility of knowing the truth about people´s character. There is also the cliché that not believing in stereotypes is great because you will not have prejudices. However, when analyzed in more detail, not believing in stereotypes can also be a great source of problems. If we look closer, we will realize that not believing in stereotypes isn't actually all it is cracked up to be. For one thing, not believing in stereotypes may be a problem if you want to know more about the culture. We shouldn't forget either that not believing in stereotypes could very easily lead to ignorance. Believing in stereotypes offers you a far wider range of possibilities when it comes to knowledge or previous idea. Take for instance, knowledge. Experience shows that if you need to make a global idea about the main characteristics of the people, you should probably believe in stereotypes rather than not believing. Another major advantage is that if you need to have a previous idea about how the people is, all your needs would be met. To sum up, even though not believing in stereotypes have some advantages like knowing the truth about people´s character or don´t being prejudiced it can also cause a problem if you want to know more about the culture and of course cause ignorance. Besides, the fact that believing in stereotypes allows you to adquire knowledge and a previous idea, makes it quite clear that believing in stereotypes constitutes the best option by far. Rebeca Bailey Alfayate Mass tourism in mount Everest
Opposite idea (NO, it's BAD) YES NO ( NO WINS) R1+ adventure,R2+ challenge; R1- no silence,R2- crowed, R3- come into contact with nature R4- too much rubbish When we consider the topic of mass tourism in mount Everest, the first thing that comes to mind is adventure and challenge. But is mass tourism in mount Everest really the best/only option when it comes to adventure trips. This essay will look into the advantages and disadvantages of mass tourism in mount Everest. It´s true that increasing people wish to know the mount Everest. Many argue that mass tourism in mount Everest is the wisest choice as it allows you to live an adventure and there is no denying that mass tourism in mount Everest is also a reasonable course of action for those who wish to challenge themselves. Yet, there are factors like don´t have enough silence or the mount crowded that should also be taken into account in order to make the best choice. There is much more to life than just enjoy o fun adventure or a challenge. According to the latest research, 75% of people value don´t have silence over enjoing an adventure. Also, if you consider the fact that a mount crowded plays a crucial role in a horrible trip, then mass tourism in mount Everest does not seem to be such a great idea after all. Moreover, no mass tourism in mount Everest has two additional major advantages, namely come into contact with nature and not to find rubbish. If come into contact with nature ranks high on your priority list, then mass tourism in mount Everest should definitely be out of the question. And last, but certainly not least, you must consider whether to find too much rubbish is an issue(problem) for you. If so, then no mass tourism is likely to be a much better option for you. To sum up, although on the face of it mass tourism in mount Everest sounds like a good idea when it comes to adventure trips, a more in-depth anaylisis suggests otherwise. In fact, most evidence points to the fact that if silence, not crowded, coming in contact with nature and not to find too much rubbish is what you are after, then no mass tourism will probably work best for you. Rebeca Bailey Alfayate Writing: a letter of complaint
14 Portobello Road London W14 9GP October 8, 2014 The Managing Director Apple Technology Centre 22 Oxford Street London Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to complain about a faulty laptop I bought in your shop, and also about the inadecuate attention from the shopassistant. On Saturday 3 October I went into your shop to look at a laptop. I decided to ask the shopassistant for advise but, to my surprise, she had not idea how the laptop works. So I chose what I thought that it was the best option. When I tried to operate my new laptop at home it did not work. The screen always was off. I could not use any program. I phoned your store to ask for assistance yesterday at the evening, but I only got a recorder message. As I need to use the laptop immediately, I do not much time to sort out this problem. I should be gratefull if you could arrange either for a technician to come and put the fault right, or for a full refund. I look forward to hearing from you by return of post. Yours faithfully, Rebeca B. Essay: How technology has changed over the last 25 years

Over the last 30 years there has been much controversy as to whether it is better to rent a flat or to buy one. Many argue that buying a flat is by far the best option, while others claim that renting a flat has more pros than cons. In this essay, I will analyze the pros and cons in order to come to a conclusion. Undoubtedly, buying a flat can be a great way to be your house owner and to decorate with your personal style. It´s a well known fact that buying a flat offers you the possibility of having something that is yours. There is also the cliché that buying a flat is great because you can sell it when you want and there is a grain of truth to it. However, when analyzed in more detail, buying a flat can also be a great source of problems. If we look closer, we will realize that buying a flat isn´t actually all it is cracked up to be. For one thing, buying a flat may be a problem if you can´t pay the mortgage. We shouldn´t forget either that buying a flat could very easily lead to bankruptcy. Besides, renting a flat offers you a far wider range of possibilities when it comes saving or if you need to move your house very often. Take for instance saving. Experience shows that if you need to spend money on other things and save, you should probably rent a flat rather than buying. Another major advantage is that if you need to leave your place, you can do it easily. To sum up, even though buying a flat has some advantages like being your house owner or to decorate in your way, the fact that renting a flat allows you to save money, easily move you from home and spend money on other things, makes it quite clear that renting a flat constitutes the best option by far. ESSAY: Living in the city or living in the countryside?
People have several arguments for living in the city instead of living in the countryside. We can see that there are less people living in the countryside because they move to live in the city. In this essay I will examine some reasons why people choose this kind of life. Certainly, living in the countryside offer people a healthy life and to be calm keeping in touch with the nature. It is just because there isn´t pollution, you don´t feel any kind of stress and, of course, it isn´t a massive place, I mean, no crowd. However, nowadays, people prefer to live in the city because they can get a job. There are more opportunities and different styles of work. Furthermore, cities offer a high level of social life, for instance, family, friends… and the city give you the possibility of meet new people. Another important point is that cities have a great variety of entertainment and culture life. In the free time you can enjoy visiting museums, going to the cinema or drinking and special beer or coffee. As can be seen, although living in the countryside is good for your health and offer much peace, the truth is that the city is the best option for living if you want to work and also to have a lot of things to do enjoying a complete social live.
